Adina Karp | Class of 2011

High School Attended: Catalina Foothills High School

College: BA from University of Arizona, Master's in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University.

Where she is now: Core studies instructor at THA as well as with Congregation Anshei Israel as their USY and Madrichim Coordinator.

Her time at THA: THA taught me the importance of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world. Throughout each year at THA, there was an emphasis on giving back to the community. One of my most cherished memories was when the eighth graders volunteered at Casa Maria Soup Kitchen. As a class, we put together over a hundred sandwiches and helped hand out food to people in need. Being able to hear the stories of the people who ate the food made our whole class appreciate what we did and understand the importance of giving back. This understanding is why I feel so lucky to give back to THA by teaching here and instilling this same value with my THA students.
